Privacy Nutrition Labels
Privacy nutrition labels are mandatory disclosures on app store listings that detail what user data your app collects and how it's used. Both Apple and Google require them.
Privacy nutrition labels appear on every app listing, showing users exactly what data the app collects before they download it. Apple introduced them in December 2020, and Google followed with their Data Safety section.
Users increasingly check these labels before downloading, making privacy a conversion factor. Apps that collect less data or explain their data practices clearly may see higher conversion rates from privacy-conscious users.
