Keyword Density
Keyword density measures how frequently a specific keyword appears in your app metadata relative to the total word count. In ASO, natural keyword placement matters more than high density.
Keyword density refers to the frequency of a keyword within your metadata. Unlike web SEO, app stores don't require high keyword density — in fact, keyword stuffing can hurt your listing's readability and conversion rate.
On Google Play, including a keyword 2-3 times in your description is sufficient. Apple's App Store uses a dedicated keyword field where each term only needs to appear once. Focus on natural language that appeals to both algorithms and users.

Keyword Cannibalization
Keyword cannibalization occurs when multiple metadata fields target the same keyword unnecessarily, wasting valuable character space. On Apple, each keyword only needs to appear once.
App Description
The app description is a long-form text field (up to 4000 characters) that describes your app's features and benefits. On Google Play, it's indexed for search; on Apple, it is not.
