Ratings Prompt
A ratings prompt is an in-app dialog that asks users to rate your app. Strategic timing and targeting can significantly improve your average rating and review volume.
Ratings prompts are the primary mechanism for generating app store reviews. Apple provides the SKStoreReviewController API, which shows a native review dialog up to 3 times per year per user.
Timing is critical: prompt users after positive moments like completing a task, achieving a goal, or using the app for a certain number of sessions. Never prompt during frustrating moments or during onboarding.
