Search Volume Index
The Search Volume Index is Apple's proprietary metric (0-100) that indicates the relative popularity of a search term in the App Store. Higher scores indicate more frequent searches.
Search Volume Index (or Search Popularity) is the only official search volume metric provided by Apple through App Store Connect's Search Ads platform. It ranges from 5 to 100, with most useful keywords scoring between 20 and 60.
Keywords scoring below 20 typically have too little traffic to matter, while those above 70 are usually extremely competitive. The sweet spot for most apps is targeting keywords in the 30-55 range.
